About the Author

Greetings... Certainly you know by now... I'm Mix L.C. Dialogos.

I write dark psychological fiction exploring identity crises, emotional numbness, and the specific anxiety of performing a self you're no longer sure exists.

I have AuDHD and lexical-gustatory synesthesia. The latter is a rare form of synesthesia where spoken and written language — as well as certain colors and emotions — triggers an automatic, highly consistent taste or smell. These flavors are often experienced as a complex mixture of temperature, texture, and, in some cases, profoundly vivid memories. In addition, I experience aphantasia and several other neurodivergent traits that I infuse into the characters I write. ...there is a piece of me in every single one of them.

I went looking, for years, for autistic interiority written from the inside — not observed, not softened into an arc about overcoming it, just the actual architecture of the cognition. In noir, specifically, I couldn't find it at all. So I wrote the book I was looking for.

Body horror, dissociative logic, cerebral elements, and sardonic wit abound in my writing. Underneath it all lies actual research — anthropology, neurology, and the biology of behavior — used less like a citation and more like a skeletal structure. My knowledge of psychological frameworks tends to lend itself well to the craft...

My fiction lives inside neurodivergent cognition, sensory realism, and the tension between performance and authenticity. Because identity, to me, was never fixed. It is constructed. Rehearsed. Inherited. Biologically constrained. And perpetually unstable.

I am also a Buddhist chaplain, speaker, and educator. You can find my clinical and educational work at lovepsychotherapy.com and queermftsupervision.com.

I hope you enjoy Happiness Unintentional as much as I enjoyed the absolute pleasure of tasting the words.

The Novel

Happiness Unintentional

A self-help story executed poorly.

A literary noir about masking, exploitation, and the particular cruelty of a self-help book that was never written for a mind like his.
